Our services are unique and special

We have researched other companies and individuals that offer a similar service that we do — putting your home movies and pictures onto DVD — and what we have found is our service is unique and special.

What they offer

Most of the companies we researched only offer straight video transfers — your video tape transfered directly onto DVD with NO edits.  And only one tape per DVD no more than an hour.  They also have predetermined locations for Chapter Markers and extra costs for titles. and music.  So what you get is a general, standardized, default, uncaring service and video to go with it.

How we differ

First off WE CARE about your project like it is one of ours — ask our clients.  Another major difference is that we will edit your video for content, clarity, length, and entertainment.

The fact that we care and that we do edit your video should let you know that we spend more time on your project than the others will.

Our prices maybe a little higher than what you may think they should be, but if you compared what we offer to what others offer you are comparing apples to oranges.  You would need to include all the extras they charge for and services they do not even offer to compare us as apples to apples then you will see that they are more expensive and do not offer or give you what we do for the price, quality, and service. Video Project

A Video Project is created from your home movies (VHS, DV, and other video formats NOT FILM).

Editing

Edits will be made to take out the dead space, as well as, enhancing the footage. We know from first-hand experience that family is the toughest crowd you will ever try to entertain. Our mission is to make an entertaining, emotional, and exciting visual spectacular from your video while keeping the essence and reality of it — we will not Hollywood it up — although we can.

Titles can be added at the beginning and end; Music you provide will increase the interest in your video; Effects such as dissolves, wipes, and speed changes can be timed to music and help with the flow of the story.

DVD Authoring

Menu's, subtitles, and transitions will be added to give it a completed professional look.

Once the DVD is finished it will get printed with a label and then married to a DVD case with a printed cover and liner notes.

Photo Slide Show

These make wonderful gifts for family members, for those favorite neighbors who moved away ten years ago, and to preserve as a history for your children and grandchildren.

Video offers you a simple way to protect these priceless moments. The best part? Instead of being locked into some album, family photos are now available to all family members. Everyone can now have copies of those priceless family moments!

Your job

Select

First make the tough decision -- which photos to choose and which to lose. We suggest you make a "YES" pile and a "NO" pile, putting all the photos that you may want to use in the "YES" pile and all the rest in the "NO" pile. WARNING: This step is way too much fun, so don't get caught looking at each photo for more then a moment! Try to focus in on the photos that will tell your family's story the best.

Sort

Gather all of your YES photos together. We suggest you put them in chronological order. Start with the early photos and work your way forward to the present day. You may have some photos or groups of photos that will work better in their own little chronological sequences, such as, career, job or business photos, house photos, lake home photos, vacations, grand-kids, and so forth.

Number

Number your photos on the back with either a pencil or stickers (post-it notes work well). DO NOT USE a pen as the ink may rub off onto the other photos. This is also the time to start thinking about music and titles. You'll at least want a greeting at the beginning and some closing statement at the end of your video — we can always help.

Our Job

Scanning/Digitizing

Photographs, any size — 5x7,6x10, and more — will be scanned at the proper resolution and color quality.

Editing/Color Correction

If needed red-eye, tares and smudges, as well as, color correction can be done to rejuvenate the images. Our mission is to keep the original image intact but to fix it if necessary.

Movie Creation

The images will then be edited into a timeline with titles, motion effects, transitions, and your choice of music. Music cues can make great places for image changes or movement.

DVD Authoring

Once the "montage / slideshow" is finished being cut together, we put it onto DVD.

Photo Archiving

With DVD-ROM Archiving we can take your photos — 35m, 110, digital, and so forth — and archive them onto a DVD for safe keeping.

Scanning/Digitizing

Archiving

The final images will be archived onto a DVD, which as some say will last forever. These images are now ready for you to print them when needed, use as desktops, put onto a website — really anything you wish without the worry of destroying them.

Biography, Tribute, and Memorial

Personal biography, tribute, dedication, recognition, or memorial videos are a fun, exciting, and very unique way to honor and recognize someone close to you. These videos are not limited to just combining photos with music to create a slide show; creative motion to the images, similar to what you might see on the History channel or A&E's Biography series, can also be added.

The length of time each photo is on the screen is varied by the content of the photo and the pace of the music being used. Carefully selected transitions allow each photo to flow into the next. In addition to photos and music, we can use old home movies, video clips, newspaper articles, scrapbook items, interviews, and narration to tell the story of the life of someone special.
The completed masterpiece can then be given to the honoree as a gift they will never forget.

Biography and tribute videos make great gifts for Anniversaries, Banquets, Birthday, Father/Mother's Day, Graduations, Retirement parties, Memorials, Weddings, and even Valentine's Day.

Family History

Family history videos can contain much of the same elements as the Biography, tribute, and Memorial video but with the addition of a narrative detailing events of a family's heritage. Often, these videos involve stories told by the eldest member/s of the family; it is a great way to preserve your family's history for future generations to cherish.
